![]() ![]() Recommend staying at nearby townships and doing daytrips instead. The current monopoly is really not providing good enough customer service. I would like to see a more responsive and flexible booking system, and another cafe/store/food provider. The staff were either unpleasant (point of sale at the Takeaway), or evasive, unknowledgeable or disintetested at the Visitors Centre. Why were empty huts not able to be rented out to us (for 1 night) after our campsite became flooded ? Theres no capacity in the system for lateral thinking and problem solving or responding to needs of customers based on changing weather conditions. Its a space to eat in.not requiring a pount of sale or waiting staff. One reason was shoet staffing due to covid. Why was the cafe closed on a day with wild wind and heavy rain, and campers had nowhere dry to sit for a short time to eat lunch or have a hot drink?. Granted Parks Victoria cant control the weather, but they can control the customer experience. We and 4 other families camp every December. Tidal River General Store and Visitors centre - Lack of hospitality or customer service.
